This holds Feed, Instant article, In-stream videos, right column and suggested videos.


When you log in to your facebook account via your app or browser, home screen you see people’s pictures and Ads is the news feed.

For that most advertisers go for the placement to get good actionable clicks.

Instant Article

Most writers use the instant article feature on facebook page to share their ideas and writing skills.  As people read the articles they are served with advertisers Ads.

In-Stream Videos

As videos remain one of the most engaging factors on facebook, as people stream videos they are equally served advertisers Ads. The Ads are served at the middle or most interesting part of viral videos.

Right Column

This placement option is basically for PCs. If you select this option your Ad is served on people’s right side of their home browser screen while logged in on their facebook accounts using laptop or desktop.

First is the Feed and second the stories.

With your instagram business account linked to your page, you can simply select the option and your Ad will run on instagram within same budget for the entire Ad.


This comprises of every third parties that facebook uses to advertise their clients’ (your Ad) businesses.

It runs across websites and apps just like google Ads.


Lastly you can choose to place your Ad via messenger. Your ad will run on messenger home and people can read it as sponsored messages.


So, which is the best option based on the above explanations. Well all of them are effective, it all depends on your objective.

If your objective is to drive traffic for conversion on a website go for only mobile news feed.

If your objective is for post engagements and brand awareness go for automatic placements which means your ad would run in all of them in accordance to your targeting and budget.
